FDY, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of Najla Haywood as its new Chief Executive Officer. 

As CEO, Haywood will lead FDY’s strategic vision, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence across the company’s expanding portfolio. A dynamic leader with a passion for customer service, sustainability, and technological integration, she is committed to elevating FDY’s impact in the food service industry.

Since joining FDY in 2020, Haywood has played a pivotal role in modernizing the company’s operations, implementing a comprehensive technological overhaul to streamline human resources, accounting, and operational functions. She has also led strategic communications and business development efforts to position FDY for long-term growth.

Beyond her leadership at FDY, Haywood is the founder of The Floyd and Norma Young Foundation, honoring her grandparents and FDY’s original founders. The Foundation provides financial assistance to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), continuing her family’s legacy of philanthropy and educational support.

Prior to FDY, Haywood built an impressive career in government and public affairs, serving as Communications Director for the DC Office of Contracting and Procurement and holding key roles at the U.S. Department of Justice and the DC Department of Employment Services. Her experience includes guiding small businesses in securing government contracts, shaping public policy, and managing national public relations initiatives.

Haywood holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Howard University, a master’s degree in International Communication from American University, and a certificate in Strategic Management from Georgetown University. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc.

As a third-generation leader of FDY, Inc., Haywood is committed to honoring the company’s rich history while steering it toward an innovative and prosperous future. She will work closely with Keith Haywood, who will remain President and Owner, to create FDY’s roadmap for the future.
