This scholarship honors the legacy of Floyd and Norma Young, pioneering leaders whose dedication to faith, family, and community shaped lives and institutions across the country. Founders of FDY, Inc.—a groundbreaking food service company serving HBCUs, corporations, and government institutions—the Youngs believed deeply in giving back. Through this scholarship, their impact continues.
About the Scholarship:
Who can apply? Graduating high school seniors from North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.
Where must students plan to attend? An HBCU (Historically Black College or University) in Fall 2025.
GPA requirement: Minimum 2.5
Deadline: July 11, 2025
